Over £4,500 raised for Kent Cancer Trust at Perrys’ Annual Charity Golf Day
A balmy June morning greeted golfers when they took to the green for the Perrys fifth annual Charity Golf Day on Friday 10th June.
A total of 26 teams made up of businesses and individuals joined us to take part in our sporting fundraiser at Chart Hills Golf Club in Biddenden, where we enjoyed a hugely successful day raising a whopping £4,500 on behalf of the Kent Cancer Trust – and still counting!
The competition proved to be tough at times with only four points separating the top three teams throughout the day. Orpington-based team Clarkson, Wright and Jake Solicitors and Friends, led by captain Amanda Mehlin, was eventually declared victorious. Each member of the team of four received a top of the range cart bag.
After the action out on the greens, everyone was invited to enjoy a delicious three course meal at the Chart Hills’ restaurant where an exciting charity raffle helped to boost the donation pot even further. A whole host of fabulous prizes were up for grabs with winners taking home meals, beauty treatments and golfing items amongst others.
We would like to thank everyone who turned out on the day to support us, with extra special thanks to our wonderful sponsors – The Mercer Restaurant on Threadneedle Street, Café du Monde, PMW Communications Ltd, Aytel, West Malling businesses Down Swan Street and The Swan Bar & Brasserie as well as Wrotham’s The Bull Hotel and the Rose & Crown pub.
The Kent Cancer Trust is truly a phenomenal charity that helps to relieve the suffering of cancer patients and improve the provision of cancer care. The funds raised from the day will go towards helping the charity to continue its vital research programmes.
