The Orpington team got involved with helping Lollipop Events get ready for Orpington Santa Dash on the 7 December in aid of CASPA Bromley.  The team’s work included distributing flyers to local residents, asking local shops to display posts and donate prizes,  getting gift bags ready, and organising information lanyards for the support staff.

We were happy to support the Eynsford Village Fireworks, a much‑loved annual display that lights up the village each November.
The event has grown over the years into a local tradition organised by volunteers, with proceeds helping to fund community projects and charities.
Supporting celebrations like this reflects our dedication to the communities we serve.

Remembrance Day at the Historic Dockyard, Chatham

Alex, Darren, Scott, David and Tom from our Medway branch attended the Armistice Day service at the Historic Dockyard Chatham. A truly special setting for a tribute to those who served.

We were pleased to support the Tonbridge Round Table Fireworks, one of the town’s most popular annual community events.
Held each November at the Tonbridge Racecourse Sportsground, the display brings families together for an evening of spectacular fireworks, food stalls, and entertainment.
Perrys was proud to contribute to a local event that brings people together.

We were delighted to sponsor the Titsey Trail, a popular annual 10k race through the beautiful Oxted Woodlands in Surrey.
The event welcomes runners of all abilities to enjoy forest tracks, bridleways, and a vibrant community atmosphere each October.

Some of the team from the Medway branch had the opportunity to drive a diesel train on the Dockyard that was used in the war effort in WW11.
It was thanks to the kind invite of Fingerprint Financial Planning Limited who organised along with thanks to the Historic Dockyard for enabling it to happen.
Alex, Betty and David from our Medway branch were able to drive the diesel train Overlord, a train that has quite some history!

We were delighted to renew our partnership with Gillingham Football Club for another year.

The club, based at Priestfield Stadium, is a cornerstone of Kent’s sporting community and brings fans together through league matches and local initiatives.

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the communities around our branches, Perrys was happy to continue this partnership.

We were pleased to be able to support Chislehurst Rocks this year, a volunteer‑run community music festival held each August at Walden Recreation Ground in Chislehurst.

The event brings together live bands, food stalls, and family‑friendly activities, creating a vibrant day of music and community spirit!

Perrys sponsors River Walk Music in Tobridge

As part of our commitment to the community around our branches we were delighted to support River Walk Music, which brings live performances to Tonbridge. River Walk Music is a free summer festival held annually along the River Walk from mid‑July to early September each week, showcasing local bands, food, and community spirit.

Charity Football Match

A fantastic day of football in the sunshine! 🌞⚽
On Saturday, Perrys FC took on Bedfont Scientific in a charity football match to raise money for Communigrow.
Bedfont Scientific took home the winner’s trophy after a strong 6-2 victory over Perrys FC, but the real win was raising funds for Communigrow
Well done to Liam McCreadie, Perrys’ ‘Player of the Match’ for scoring both of our goals.
Every player went home with a medal and the raffle was a success… we managed to raise over £350!
A big thank you to the Medway branch for putting on such a great event! Alex, Darren, Tom, Scott, David and Betty made sure everything ran smoothly and gave us a day to remember!

Orpington Treasure Hunt for CWJ 150th Anniversary

Our Orpington team had a great time in June, joining the Clarkson Wright & Jakes – Solicitors and Notaries Treasure Hunt.
11 teams from local businesses raced around Orpington, finding clues and helping to raise funds for St. Christopher’s Hospice as part of their 150th year anniversary celebrations.
Zoe, B, Lana, Joshkun and Jo worked well together to solve everything, so well in fact, that they won!
Nicely done team!

The Tonbridge Branch Helps Set Up a Local Cub Camp

Our Tonbridge team volunteered to set up camp for a local Cub group. They headed down to the campsite and got to work putting up multiple tents ready for the Cubs to camp out.
Well done everyone, the camp looked great!

Communigrow Visit

In May, some of the West Malling team headed down to the Communigrow field in East Malling to volunteer some time. They helped weed and tidy up the tea garden (that they helped create in 2023!) ready for a visit from a newspaper.

Perrys FC took part in the Gillingham FC Business Club Football Tournament

Back in May Perrys FC played in the GFC Business Club Tournament.
Perrys FC won the first game and beat Hochiki Heat Seekers 5 nil.  In the second game against Howdens Premium Ballers FC, Perrys FC won 2 nil.
In the semi-final against FM Mopchester United, Perrys won 2 nil. In the final against Howdens Premium Ballers FC, as the score was nil – nil at full time it went to penalties where we lost 3-2! It is safe to say it was a great effort from the team!
Thank you to Gillingham FC for hosting the event – the team had a great time.

Back in April, Alex, Tom & Scott had a great evening going to Priestfield Stadium to watch Perrys Business Partner, Gillingham Football Club play against Colchester United.
Joined by clients; Aaron from Furley Page Solicitors and Adam from Eaglesfield Equestrian Events.

Alex runs 2 marathons

Alex, the consultant from our Medway branch, ran the Brighton Marathon with his siblings to honour his late father, raising money for Prostate Cancer UK.

Not only the Brighton Marathon, but three weeks later Alex also ran and finished the London Marathon.
The target of £5,000 was reached but their Just Giving page is still open – please click the link in the picture to see more.

‘Wind Up Wednesday’ at the Historic Dockyard

Darren the manager from our branch at the Historic Dockyard in Chatham took part in ‘Wind up Wednesday’ back in March. It involves hand winding the clock mechanism, this needs to be done each week. The clock tower at the Historic Dockyard Chatham is the oldest surviving naval storehouse in any royal dockyard and it’s right on the doorstep of our Medway branch!

Steve and Emma went down to the field at Communigrow in East Malling to see the progress that they have been making both on the field and with the new projects that they are able to offer. Communigrow now offer curriculum enrichment for Primary Schools and this involves a half day down at the Commungirow field learning about living things, habitats, cooking, nutrition and lots more, perfect for Key Stages 1 and 2. They also now run ‘Garden Gate Group’ which is a support group for after a bereavement, this runs on Friday mornings and is for people who may feel a community gardening experience may help them at a time of loss.

Litter pick at Tunbridge Wells

The ‘Great British Spring Clean’ ran from 17 March – 2 April 2023. To do our bit for the environment, we gathered a few of our team from the Tunbridge Wells branch on 23 March and headed towards Grosvenor and Hilbert Park, Tunbridge Wells. We were able to collect a huge amount of rubbish on our way towards the park.

Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon

Perrys sponsored the Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon who were also celebrating their 40th anniversary. This event is organised by the Tunbridge Wells Harriers. Alex Skinner from our Historic Dockyard Chatham branch and Caroline Judge from our Orpington branch took part in the race.
