Perrys Chartered Accountants at the National Landlord Investment Show

On Wednesday 27 April 2016, several members of Perrys Wrotham office attended the National Landlord Investment Show at Dartford’s Hilton Hotel.

We arrived early to setup our exhibitor area armed with our Perrys banner and a wealth of free advisory brochures. The doors opened at 9:00 and we were greeted by many landlords and property investors eager to speak to Perrys and the other exhibitors. The professionals in attendance as well as ourselves included Landlord associations, Property management, Legal services, Mortgage advisors, Insurance providers and many others.

Speaking at the event was our very own Donna McCreadie, who provided an update on property taxation to a room packed with property investors. In her seminar, Donna covered many aspects including, the differences between trading and investing in property; recent changes to Stamp Duty Land Tax; an update on the proposed future restriction on finance costs, and the potential considerations of holding property within a limited company.

Throughout the day, an estimated 400 people visited the various exhibitor stands, speaking to the professionals attending. Many guests visited the Perrys stand to ask a variety of property and tax related questions, being keen to discuss their tax affairs in a little more detail, and taking home an information pack about the specialist services offered by Perrys.

Perrys are proud to offer a free initial consultation at one of our seven offices with one of The Property Team. At our initial meeting we will discuss your property affairs and plans in great detail, to ensure that, as a buy to let landlord, your affairs are structured in a tax efficient manner. To arrange a meeting, please contact your nearest Perrys office.
