Perrys Exceptional Awards return for second year

At Perrys we pride ourselves on providing exceptional service to all our clients, and being a community-focused firm that gives back to the neighbourhoods we serve.

It is this commitment to ‘do our bit’ that saw us launch our inaugural Exceptional Awards last year, that honoured the individuals, charities, services and fellow businesses who excel for their customers and users. And we are now delighted to announce that our awards will be returning for a second year.

After the astounding success of 2016’s event, which saw our worthy winners mingling with scores of guests at our glitzy ceremony at Leeds Castle, we were urged to run the awards again and were happy to do so. And you can now start to get involved.

New categories

For 2017 we have changed our categories to give more groups and individuals their chance in the spotlight. This year we will be looking for nominations for the following titles:

•    Exceptional Small Charity (fewer than 10 employees, not including unpaid volunteers)
•    Exceptional Large Charity (more than 10 employees, not including unpaid volunteers)
•    Exceptional Business
•    Exceptional Individual
•    Exceptional Business Community Initiative

Each award aims to recognise those groups and individuals who go above and beyond for their communities, and nominations are now open.
Honouring our unsung heroes

Our CEO Stewart said:

“The Exceptional Awards are all about honouring those unsung heroes who go the extra mile without fanfare and without expecting anything in return.

“They might be a volunteer, colleague or friend but whoever they are, and whatever they do to support their neighbours, customers or clients, we want to hear about it. We had some wonderful nominations for last year’s awards, many with incredibly touching stories that moved some of the audience at the awards ceremony to tears. All of us at Perrys were delighted with how successful the night was and bowled over by the amazing stories of our nominees. We hope in 2017 we will be able to give even more outstanding individuals, charities and businesses the recognition they deserve.”

How you can get involved

Nominations for all award titles are now open. If you know an exceptional charity, business, individual or firm with a great community initiative, get in touch.

To make a nomination simply email exceptionalawards@pmwcom.co.uk with the name of the category you are nominating for in the subject line. Please include a short description of your nominee, why they deserve to be the winner, along with their contact details. Remember to also include your own contact details.

A judging panel from the local community will then decide the finalists, who will be invited to a grand awards ceremony later in the year at Leeds Castle to be celebrated, and find out who has been awarded as the most exceptional.

Nominations must be made by Monday 31 July.
