The Perrys 2016 Christmas Quiz
This autumn, a film was released at the cinema, which must have had the most unusual titles ever for a thriller; “The Accountant”.
“Why would anyone go to see a film about an accountant dad?” said my eldest son. “I bet it’s really boring!” “Fair point!” I conceded ” But it does star Ben Affleck and his previous role was Batman as he took on Superman and involves guns and car chases, so it might be good”.
Anyway, we didn’t go and see it, partly as it’s a 15 certificate and my boys are not yet 15 and partly, as my youngest desperately wanted to go and see Trolls, a film “starring” those funny plastic toys with spikey hair, popular in the 1970s!
But it did get me thinking…how many other films have an occupation in the title. See if you can identify some (without googling!) from the clues below:
-
1976 classic starring Robert De Niro.
-

A romantic comedy about a man who has taught his animals how to win the heart of his ex-girlfriend. Really?

Now I would be far too tight to employ this person but some would think it was a necessity. 2001 film starring Jennifer Lopez.
-
1-2, 1-2 is the only clue you are going to get for this film starring Meatloaf.
-
1999 sci-fi thriller starring Johnny Depp and Charlize Theron.

-
And last but not least, at this time of year, this 1985 film starred English actor Dudley Moore, not in the title role but as an “eager-to-please” elf.
