We’re looking for a top class tea room!
Launched in 2013, the Kent Life Food and Drink Awards have consistently championed the cream of the county’s food and drink industry, showcasing local producers and suppliers, small farming businesses, chefs, restaurants, pubs and hotels.
We’ve been a supporter and sponsor of the Awards since 2014, and this year we’re delighted to be sponsoring the Independent Café/Tea Room of the Year category. Our watchword is ‘Exceptional as Standard’ and we’re confident we’ll find a worthy winner to live up to it.
There’s nothing better than a plate of warm scones with lashings of jam and cream, or a luscious triangle of sticky chocolate cake, freshly made on the premises and accompanied by a pot of tea brewed exactly how you like it. We’re hoping that many of the wonderful independent eateries we have here in Kent will be put forward for the award by our clients, contacts, and readers of Kent Life.
Finalists will be invited to a glittering black tie dinner at the end of the year, at which the winners of each category will be announced.
Alex Skinner, who specialises in accountancy for the hospitality sector and works at Perrys’ London office, said:
“We’re looking forward to discovering more about the foodie hotspots which have caught the public’s imagination this year, and celebrating the wealth of talent in the local catering industry. Our county has an enviable reputation for culinary excellence using locally sourced ingredients. These awards are a fantastic way to highlight the hidden gems within our region.”
