After two cancellations of the landmark 2020 London Marathon both in April and now in October due to the current pandemic, it has now been decided by the organisers that those runners who were registered to take part can now run in a virtual “London” Marathon to be held on the 4th October 2020, the day the actual Marathon would have taken place. This event will see over 45,000 participants running the Marathon in their own way up and down the country.
I will therefore be participating in what will be the most unique 40th London Marathon, running 26.2 miles though my home towns in the Medway area in aid of Perrys chosen charity; Family Matters. They offer specialist counselling, advice and support to those that have been affected by rape and sexual abuse. Perrys have supported the charity for a number of years now and know just how much the charity relies on events such as this to be able to continue providing the amazing service to those in need.
I would be grateful if you could donate in any way possible or perhaps even share my Virgin Money Giving page (link below) on your social media to help support such a worthwhile cause.
